Four decades of building machines that destroy waste — and protect the environment

Raj Electricals was established in 1985 by Mr. Siraj S. Khunt, an engineer with deep experience in the electrical and engineering industry. The company’s founding objective is unchanged to this day: design and develop ideas and equipment that protect the environment — reduce, recycle, reuse.

We earned our early reputation building heavy-duty shredders for the printing and packaging industry — machines that ran around the clock destroying rejected labels, cartons and confidential material for some of India’s largest manufacturers. As India’s plastic waste problem grew, so did our range: plastic grinders, granulators, single shaft and dual shaft plastic shredders, built on the same all-metal, no-plastic-parts construction philosophy that made our paper shredders last decades.

Today, more than 2,100 of our machines work in factories, recycling plants, pharma units and government installations across India, and over 50 have been exported worldwide. Plant owners come to us because we are a manufacturer, not a trader: when you call about a machine, you speak to the people who built it.

Our mission is practical, not poetic: help Indian industry turn plastic waste from a disposal cost into a recoverable material. Every machine we design is judged on three things — does it run all day without complaint, can the operator maintain it without calling us, and will it still be earning its keep in fifteen years. That standard is why our oldest customers are also our most frequent repeat buyers.
