Privacy Policy
How Raj Electricals collects, uses and protects the information you share with us through this website — explained in plain language.
Last updated: 30 August 2026 — reviewed against the services actually running on this site
Raj Electricals (“we”, “us”, “our”) manufactures plastic shredder and grinder machines at Madhu Industrial Estate, Andheri East, Mumbai. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only — commercial dealings such as quotations, orders and invoices are handled offline and are covered by the terms of those documents.
What information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and recommend the right machine:
Session replay, stated plainly
We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through the site — clicks, scrolling and the path taken from page to page — and can replay that as an anonymised session. We use it to find pages where a buyer cannot locate a specification, not to identify anyone. Text you type into a form is masked before it leaves your browser, so what you type is never part of a recording. If you would rather not be included, most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” or tracking-protection setting, and you may also write to us at the address below and we will exclude you.
- Enquiry forms — your name, phone number, email address, company name, and whatever you choose to tell us about your material, volumes and requirement in the message field.
- WhatsApp click-through — the WhatsApp buttons on this site open a chat in your own WhatsApp app with a pre-filled message. We receive only what you choose to send us in that chat. Your use of WhatsApp itself is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy, not by this one.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, both loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see in aggregate which pages visitors read, how they reached the site and where they get stuck. Neither identifies you personally to us, and what you type into a form is masked before it reaches either of them.
We do not collect payment information on this website. There are no online sales, payment gateways or card forms here — all commercial transactions take place offline, against written quotations and invoices.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry — usually by phone or email — with a machine recommendation suited to your material and volume.
- To prepare quotations and follow up on them.
- To coordinate trials at our works, delivery, installation and after-sales service for machines you buy.
- To understand, in aggregate, which machines and applications visitors are interested in, so the website stays useful.
We do not add your details to unrelated marketing lists, and we do not send bulk promotional messages. If we contact you, it will be about your enquiry or about machines and services you have taken from us.
Legal basis — DPDP Act, 2023
We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. When you submit an enquiry form or start a WhatsApp chat with us, you consent to our using those details to respond to your enquiry and to carry on the resulting business correspondence. You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to us at the email address below; we will then stop using your details, except where we need to retain them as part of legitimate business records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. Your details are seen by our own team and by the service providers listed below, each of which processes data on our behalf under its own published terms. We may disclose information where the law or a competent authority requires us to.
Below is the complete list of services involved in running this website, including those switched on as the site grows. Where a service never sees anything about you, we say so rather than leave it off — you should be able to see the whole stack, not an edited version of it.
Running the website
| Service | What it does | Your data involved | Why | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | Hosts the website and its database | Everything you send us, plus standard server logs including your IP address | Necessary to operate the site and receive your enquiry | Server logs 30 days; enquiries as below |
| Cloudflare | Content delivery, DDoS protection, firewall, and the Turnstile check on our forms | Your IP address, request headers, and the behavioural signals Turnstile uses to tell a person from a bot | To keep the site fast and available, and to stop automated spam reaching our sales team | Held by Cloudflare under its own policy; security event logs about 30 days |
| Wordfence | A second firewall and malware scanner inside WordPress itself | IP address and request details of blocked or suspicious activity. Ordinary browsing is not recorded | Defence in depth — an attack that gets past the edge is stopped at the application | 180 days |
| Fluent Forms | The enquiry forms on this site | Name, phone, email, company, city, what you tell us about your material and volumes, and the page you enquired from | To answer your enquiry and size the right machine. Knowing the page means our team arrives already understanding your material | 24 months from our last contact, then deleted |
| Email delivery | Sends your enquiry to our sales inbox and your confirmation to you. This currently runs on our hosting provider’s mail service; we may move it to a dedicated delivery provider to improve reliability | Your name, email address and the contents of your enquiry, in transit | A form that does not reliably deliver is worse than no form | In transit only; delivery logs about 30 days |
| UpdraftPlus | Scheduled encrypted backups | A copy of the website database, which includes past enquiry submissions | So an outage, an attack or a mistake cannot lose your enquiry | Rolling 90 days, then overwritten |
Measuring how the site is used
| Service | What it does | Your data involved | Why | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Tag Manager | The container that loads the measurement tags below. It sets no cookies of its own | The page address you are on and the events passed to it, such as a form submission or a WhatsApp click | So measurement can be changed without editing the website, and every tag is in one auditable place | Stores nothing itself; the tags it loads are listed here |
| Google Analytics 4 | Measures pages viewed, how visitors arrive, and which pages lead to an enquiry | Pages viewed, referring source, device and browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Google shortens the IP address so it does not identify you | To know which pages actually produce enquiries and invest in those | Google’s retention setting, currently 14 months |
| Microsoft Clarity | Usage analytics and session replay | Interaction events, approximate location from IP, device and browser. Text typed into form fields is masked before it leaves your browser | To find pages where a buyer cannot locate a specification, and fix them | Held by Microsoft under Clarity’s published retention policy |
| Google Search Console | Shows which Google searches bring people here | Aggregated search statistics only. No individual visitor is identifiable to us | To write pages that answer what buyers actually search for | Held by Google, about 16 months |
Keeping it online and secure
| Service | What it does | Your data involved | Why | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hotswap Monitor | Records that a request was made, so a real outage is distinguishable from a quiet day | Request logs. IP addresses are shortened before they are written, so they do not identify you | To detect downtime and unusual traffic quickly | 90 days |
| Hotswap Palantir | Checks from outside that the site is up and has not been tampered with | None about you. It requests our own public pages on a schedule and compares them | To catch a defacement or silent failure before a customer does | 90 days of check history |
| Hotswap Security | Hardening, integrity checks and access control for the WordPress installation | IP address and request details of blocked or suspicious activity only | Necessary to keep the site and the enquiries it holds safe | 180 days |
After you become a customer
| Service | What it does | Your data involved | Why | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hotswap Vouchbeam | Review invitations, if you become a customer and agree to receive one | Your name and email address, used once to invite a review | Only ever with your agreement, after a completed order | Removed on request; otherwise 12 months |
Embedded third parties
| Service | What it does | Your data involved | Why | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts & Google Maps | Page typefaces, and the map on our contact page | Your IP address is seen by Google when those files load | Legible typography, and directions to our works | Held by Google under its own policy |
| The chat buttons on this site | Only what you choose to send in the chat. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by its own policy | Because most buyers would rather message than fill a form | Held in your chat history and ours |
Several of these are activated as the website grows. Listing them here in advance means this policy already covers them, so nothing about you is ever processed by a service this page has not told you about first. The website is built and maintained for Raj Electricals by Hotswap Tech, who act as our data processor under written instruction.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and for a reasonable business-records period afterwards — quotations, correspondence and service history are often referred back to over the working life of a machine. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or anonymised.
Per-service retention is set out in the table above. Backups are the exception worth stating plainly: because a backup is a snapshot of the whole website, an enquiry you sent us can persist inside a backup file for up to 90 days after we have deleted it from the live site. Backups are encrypted, access is limited to our technical team, and they are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
Your rights
You may at any time ask us:
- what personal information of yours we hold;
- to correct details that are wrong or out of date;
- to erase your details from our records.
Send any such request by email to rajelectricalsmumbai@gmail.com and we will act on it within a reasonable time. If you are an existing customer, some records — such as invoices and warranty documentation — may need to be retained for the statutory period even after an erasure request.
Your choice about measurement
Nothing that measures your visit runs until you agree to it. On your first visit you are asked once, with Reject offered exactly as prominently as Accept. If you reject, Google Tag Manager is never loaded, which means Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are never loaded either — not merely switched off after the fact. If your browser sends a “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal we treat that as a rejection and do not ask again.
Your answer is stored in your own browser along with the date and the version of this policy you agreed to, so that if we materially change this page you are asked again rather than being held to an old agreement. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the foot of every page. Cookies that are strictly necessary — the security check on our forms and the session cookie that carries your enquiry — are not covered by this choice, because without them the site cannot do what you asked it to.
Cookies
This site sets a small number of cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (_ga) to tell a returning visit from a new one; Microsoft Clarity sets cookies so a single visit is not counted twice; Cloudflare sets a cookie to keep the security check from repeating on every page; WordPress sets a session cookie if you submit a form; and the Google Maps panel on our contact page may set cookies when it loads. None of these identify you personally to us. We do not use advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run ad networks on this site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time and the website will continue to work.
