41 Years’ Experience 4 Patented Designs All-Metal Construction

Why Choose Raj Electricals for Your Plastic Shredder Machine

A shredder is a 10–20 year purchase. Before you compare quotes, compare what actually determines whether the machine is still earning for you in year ten: construction, blades, spares, and the people standing behind it. Here is our honest case.

How to judge a shredder manufacturer

Every supplier’s brochure says “robust” and “heavy-duty”. The differences show up two years in: when a blade needs re-sharpening, when a bearing fails on a Saturday, when your material changes and the mesh needs swapping. So judge a manufacturer on the things that are hard to fake — how long they have been building machines, whether they make or merely trade, whether you can watch your own material run before paying, and how quickly spares reach you. The nine points below are our answers to those tests; the comparison table further down shows how the same tests apply to a typical imported machine.

Nine reasons plant owners buy from us

1. 41 years of manufacturing expertise

Established 1985 by Mr. Siraj S. Khunt. Four decades of building shredders means the failure modes are already designed out — bearing placement, blade geometry, gearbox sizing — lessons learned across 2,100+ machines in the field.

2. Four patented “RE Exclusive” designs

We don’t copy catalogues — we engineer. Our RE Exclusive line of patented shredder machines was developed for waste streams nobody else’s standard machine handled well, from liquid-separation shredding to specialised recovery machines.

3. All-metal construction

No plastic parts are used anywhere in our machines — every guard, hopper, panel and drive component is metal. On the S3-600 series the chamber wall alone is heavy plate steel and the blades are hardened tool steel.

4. Built for 24-hour operation

Recycling plants don’t run office hours. Our shredders are rated for continuous 24-hour duty — motors, bearings and lubrication points are specified for round-the-clock running, not showroom demonstrations.

5. Trusted by India’s top brands

Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, Dabur, Parle, GSK, Ranbaxy, Skoda, SBI, Ajanta, Nissin and Manipal run our machines. Companies with strict vendor audits keep re-ordering — that is the reference that matters.

6. Custom configurations

Standard machines are MS construction — but we build in SS grade for food, pharma and corrosive applications, supply motors for any export voltage/Hz, and customise mesh sizes from 1 mm to 30 mm or more to match your output spec.

7. In-house manufacturing

We are a manufacturer, not a reseller or importer. Fabrication, machining, assembly and testing all happen at our Andheri East works in Mumbai — so specifications, modifications and delivery dates are in our control, not a supplier’s.

8. After-sales service & spares

Blades, screens, bearings and electricals come from the factory that built your machine. We provide installation and on-site maintenance service, and guide your operators on lubrication and blade care so the machine lasts.

9. Trial with your own material

Bring your bottles, lumps, film or FRP to our works and watch the machine shred it before you pay. A trial answers capacity and output-size questions better than any brochure — ours or anyone else’s.

Raj Electricals vs a typical imported machine

An honest comparison. Imported machines from reputable makers can be well built — the differences that matter most in India are usually spares, service and total cost over the machine’s life.

If an imported machine genuinely fits your application better, we will tell you. What we ask is that you compare landed cost, spares lead time and service response — not just the quotation page.

Six questions to ask any supplier — including us

Take this list into every sales conversation. A good manufacturer answers all six in writing without hesitation:

  • Can I run a trial with my own material before ordering?
  • What is the continuous-duty rating of the motor — in writing?
  • What do a replacement blade set and screen cost, and how fast do they ship?
  • Is the construction all-metal? Which parts, if any, are plastic?
  • Who installs and commissions the machine, and what does it cost?
  • Who do I call when it stops at 11 pm — and where are they located?

Our answers: yes, always; 24-hour rated; spares priced on the quotation and despatched from our Mumbai works; all-metal with no plastic parts; our own technicians install on site; and you call the factory that built the machine. Use our selection guide to narrow the model first, then put these questions to us.
