RE40CB Grinder with Blower — 40″×40″ Granulator, 75 + 10 HP
The heaviest grinder-blower we build: 75 HP plus a 10 HP cyclone blower, turning pre-shredded drum pieces and bulky light scrap into bagged regrind at 700 kg/hr. Stage two of the industrial drum recycling line.
Drums Come Back as Regrind, Not Landfill
A 200-litre HDPE drum is 8–10 kg of premium blue polymer — and completely useless to any grinder until it is shredded. The industrial drum line is therefore two machines: a 1000 mm dual-shaft drum shredder tears whole drums into hand-sized pieces, and this grinder turns those pieces into uniform, bagged regrind.
The RE40CB is our largest platform with a 10 HP cyclone blower: 40″ × 40″ throat, 9+6 hardened blade set, 75 HP through a Star Delta starter, and pneumatic discharge that keeps 700 kg/hr of ground HDPE moving into bags instead of piling under the machine. At that rate, manual discharge would mean moving over a tonne of regrind every hundred minutes — the blower is what lets one operator run the machine.
Drum recyclers, IBC processors and large scrap consolidators run this class of machine because drum polymer is worth the line: clean blue HDPE regrind is among the best-priced recycled polymers in the market. Crates, furniture pieces and bulky rigid scrap run on the same machine between drum batches.

Throughput is rated for light-weight material on a 15 mm screen; denser scrap grinds at the base-machine rates and output varies with feeding speed and bulk density. Keep metal objects out of the cutting area — they will break the blades. All specifications are subject to change for constant product development.

RE40CB Grinder with Blower — Frequently Asked Questions
Can it grind a whole drum?
No grinder can — a 200-litre drum does not fit any grinder throat, and honest suppliers say so. Drums are shredded first on a 1000 mm dual-shaft drum shredder; this machine grinds the resulting pieces into regrind. As a pair they are the standard industrial drum line.
What does the regrind sell for?
Clean single-colour HDPE drum regrind is among the strongest-priced recycled polymers — which is why the two-machine line pays for itself at volume. Keep colours segregated and strip metal fittings before shredding to protect that price.
What throughput does the drum line achieve?
This grinder rates 700 kg/hr on light material and sets the line pace on drum duty. A steady shift moves 5+ tonnes of finished regrind.
Why the blower on a machine this size?
Because at 700 kg/hr, discharge is the bottleneck if it is manual: that is over a tonne of regrind to move every 100 minutes. The cyclone blower conveys it to bagging continuously, and one operator runs the machine.
What is the price of the RE40CB?
Quoted against specification — the RE40CB sits above the standard bands in the plastic shredder machine price guide. Send your drum volumes and layout for a firm quotation within one working day.
Can I see it grind drum shred before committing?
Yes — bring your actual material to our works in Andheri East, Mumbai, and watch it processed on this machine before you decide. A trial settles throughput and output-size questions better than any brochure.
