RE30 Plastic Grinder — 30″×30″ Granulator, 30 HP

A 30 HP granulator with the big-platform 6+4 blade set — any plastic below 30 inches, including shredded FRP and glass-filled engineering scrap, ground into uniform granules at 600–800 kg/hr.

The Hardest Duty We Rate the RE Series For

The RE30 is where the RE series changes its cutting set: 6 rotating blades against 4 fixed — more cutting edges per revolution for dense, abrasive, high-volume feed. A 30″ × 30″ throat, a 30 HP motor behind a Star Delta starter and heavy-plate big-platform fabrication make it a 3-tonne machine built for continuous industrial duty.

Its proving ground is FRP — the material that punishes grinders hardest. Ground FRP has real destinations: filler in construction boards, core material, cement co-processing feed at a size kilns accept. A shredder breaks sheets, tanks and mouldings into rough pieces first; the RE30 then cuts those pieces against the screen into consistent granules. Thin trim and offcuts that already fit the throat can skip the shredding stage entirely.

Abrasion is the honest caveat with glass-filled feeds: fibre dulls any blade set faster than unfilled plastic. The blades are hardened and re-sharpenable — plan a sharpening cycle from your running hours rather than discovering one, and the machine grinds FRP for years. On ordinary rigid plastics below 30″, it simply runs faster and wears slower.

Throughput is for a 15 mm screen and varies with feeding speed, material and bulk density; a finer screen lowers output. Keep metal objects out of the cutting area — they will break the blades. All specifications are subject to change for constant product development.

Key Features

6 Rotating + 4 Fixed Blades

The big-platform cutting set — more cutting edges per revolution for dense, abrasive feed.

30 HP Without Bogging

Thick laminate pieces and glass-filled lumps cut at full feed rate.

Screen-Sized Granules

12–15 mm standard, customised to your offtaker’s specification — kilns specify a maximum piece size and the screen guarantees it.

Star Delta Starter

Soft starting for the 30 HP motor, with overload protection as standard.

3-Tonne All-Metal Build

Heavy-plate body and thick hopper steel for continuous abrasive duty.

Pairs with the S3-600

The single-shaft shredder upstream makes it a complete sheet-to-granule FRP line.

RE30 Plastic Grinder — Frequently Asked Questions

Does FRP really need two machines?

Usually, yes. Sheets, tanks and mouldings are too large and too tough for any grinder throat — the S3-600 single shaft shredder reduces them to hand-sized pieces first, and the RE30 turns those pieces into granules. Thin trim and small offcuts that already fit the 30″ throat can feed the grinder directly and skip stage one.

How fast do blades wear on fibreglass?

Faster than on unfilled plastic — that is physics, and any supplier who promises otherwise should be questioned. The 6+4 set is removable and re-sharpenable; with a planned sharpening cycle based on running hours, blade wear is a maintenance line-item, not a surprise.

What is ground FRP good for?

Sized FRP granulate goes to construction-board filler, cement co-processing (kilns specify a maximum piece size — the screen guarantees it) and specialist reuse applications. Tell us your offtaker’s size specification and the machine ships with the matching screen.

Can it grind ordinary plastics too?

Yes — any rigid plastic below 30″ runs at 600–800 kg/hr on a 15 mm screen. Many owners buy the RE30 for a hard duty like FRP and run their general scrap through it the rest of the week.

What is the price of the RE30?

The RE30 sits in the upper band of the grinder range — see the plastic shredder machine price guide — with the final figure depending on screen and blade options. Send your specification for a firm quote.

Can I trial my FRP before buying?

Yes — bring your actual material to our works in Andheri East, Mumbai, and watch it processed on this machine before you decide. A trial settles throughput and output-size questions better than any brochure.
