RE25 Plastic Grinder — 25″×25″ Granulator, 25 HP

The first of the big-platform machines: 25 HP through a 25″ × 25″ throat, grinding any plastic below 25 inches into screen-sized regrind at 400–600 kg/hr — with Star Delta starting and a 2,137 kg build.

Where the RE Series Turns Industrial

Up to the RE20, the RE series is rated by the bottles and jars it swallows. The RE25 is where the rating changes to “any plastic material below 25″” — thick-walled containers, stacked rejects, purgings and bulky mouldings that mid-size machines nibble at feed straight through the 25″ × 25″ throat and leave as screen-sized regrind.

The construction steps up to match: heavy body plates, a big-platform rotor, a cast-iron flywheel and a Star Delta starter that manages the 25 HP motor’s starting load. The 3+2 hardened blade set cuts against a 12–15 mm screen — same geometry as the smaller machines, several times the force behind it.

At 400–600 kg/hr, a single shift moves 3–5 tonnes — recycling-plant scale from one machine and one operator. When even that is not enough, the ladder continues to the RE30 and the 75 HP RE40; the RE25CB adds a 5 HP cyclone blower for continuous bagged discharge, a configuration proven on PET preform grinding.

Throughput is for a 15 mm screen and varies with feeding speed, material and bulk density; a finer screen lowers output. Keep metal objects out of the cutting area — they will break the blades. All specifications are subject to change for constant product development.

Key Features

Any Plastic Below 25″

The rating stops being about bottle sizes — bulky rejects and thick mouldings feed whole.

Star Delta Starting

Managed starting for the 25 HP motor on a standard 415 V 3-phase connection.

Heavy-Plate Big-Platform Build

Big-platform fabrication carrying a cast-iron flywheel — built for sustained torque.

3–5 Tonnes per Shift

400–600 kg/hr on a 15 mm screen at steady feeding.

Screen-Controlled Output

12–15 mm standard, customised to your buyer’s or extruder’s specification.

Re-Sharpenable 3+2 Blade Set

Hardened blades serviced on a planned cycle.

RE25 Plastic Grinder — Frequently Asked Questions

What does “any plastic material below 25″” actually mean?

If the item passes through the 25″ × 25″ throat, the blade set handles it — bulky mouldings, thick-walled containers, purgings and stacked rejects included. Items larger than the throat need a shredder first; we will tell you honestly which of your items that applies to.

Why does the RE25 have a Star Delta starter when smaller models don’t?

Motor physics: a 25 HP motor started direct-on-line draws a heavy inrush current that stresses your supply and the machine. Star Delta starting brings the motor up gently — standard fitment on the RE25, RE30 and RE40.

How much can I process in a day?

At 400–600 kg/hr, a steady 8-hour shift moves 3–5 tonnes; two shifts, 6–10. At that scale the practical constraints are usually feeding logistics and discharge handling rather than the machine — which is exactly what we help you plan before quoting.

How does it compare with the RE20 and RE30?

The RE20 (15 HP, 250–400 kg/hr) is still rated by jar size — up to 20 litres. The RE25 steps to 25 HP, 400–600 kg/hr and the any-plastic-below-25″ rating. The RE30 adds the 6+4 blade set at 600–800 kg/hr for dense and abrasive feeds. Describe your material and tonnage and we will place you on the ladder in one call.

What is the price of the RE25?

Upper band of the grinder range — see the plastic shredder machine price guide for capacity-wise context — quoted against screen, blade and control-panel options. Send your specification for a firm ex-works quotation.

Can I see my material ground before buying?

Yes — bring your actual material to our works in Andheri East, Mumbai, and watch it processed on this machine before you decide. A trial settles throughput and output-size questions better than any brochure.
