One Platform, Three Very Different Duties
The DS4005 is the 400 mm × 5 HP member of our dual-shaft cross-cut line, and it earns its keep on materials that defeat ordinary machines. Breweries and distilleries run it as a glass bottle crusher: bottles feed through the 400 mm opening at 250–300 kg/hr, hardened cutters crush glass and shred labels and caps together, and the cullet drops into a 100-litre collection trolley below — measurable, sellable, unquestionably destroyed.
Garment factories order the same platform in an anti-wrap configuration for elastic waste — the most tangle-prone material in the industry. Cutter geometry and spacing are chosen so stretch material is gripped and severed before it can wind around the shafts, producing roughly 12 × 60 mm shred at 50–100 kg/hr without cooling pauses.
And campuses, parks departments and housing societies run it on green waste: dead leaves, fallen branches, planks and mixed garden waste at 500–700 kg/hr, feeding compost windrows instead of bonfires. Same shafts, same gears — the cutter set and configuration at order decide the duty.

Glass bottle destruction. A branded glass bottle that leaves a plant intact can be refilled — and counterfeit liquor in genuine bottles is a problem excise departments police hard. Breweries, distilleries and premium-beverage bottlers destroy returns, rejects and seized stock on the DS4005 at 250–300 kg/hr, witnessed on-site. Cullet has a real market as furnace feed, and colour-sorted cullet earns better rates — destruction duty and recycling revenue off the same machine.
Garden and green waste. A truckload of branches is mostly air, which is why green waste gets burned — and why SWM rules push campuses, municipalities and housing societies to process it instead. On green-waste duty the DS4005 clears 500–700 kg/hr of leaves, twigs, branches and planks; shredded green waste composts in weeks instead of seasons. Ward-level volumes step up to the DS5007. Thick logs belong on the S3-600 single-shaft shredder.

Can it crush filled glass bottles?
Yes — returns and seizures often arrive filled. Liquid drains through to the collection area; plan for it, and vent carbonated stock first. The glass, cap and label are destroyed regardless.
What do I do with the cullet?
Sell it — glass plants buy cullet as furnace feed and pay better for colour-sorted, contaminant-light material. Keeping brown, green and flint runs separate at the machine is the easiest value upgrade there is.
Why does elastic defeat normal shredders?
Because it stretches: ordinary cutters push it instead of severing it, and once one strand wraps a shaft the rest follow. The anti-wrap configuration grips the material against counter-rotation so it cuts at tension. It takes woven and knitted elastic strap, waistband trim, stretch-fabric offcuts and braided cords; heavily rubberised sheet and tyre-type rubber are a different duty — ask us first.
What green waste can it shred — and what not?
Dead leaves, twigs, fallen branches, flat wooden planks, hedge trimmings and general garden waste. Thick logs and construction timber belong on the S3-600 wood configuration; soil and stones should stay out of any shredder.
DS4005 or DS5007 for green waste?
Work from daily tonnage: the DS4005 clears 4–5 tonnes a shift — campus and society scale; the DS5007 clears 8–10 — ward and municipal scale. Sizing up buys headroom for monsoon-season surges, which is when green waste actually peaks.
