RE16CB Grinder with Blower — 16″×16″ Granulator, 10 + 2 HP

A 10 HP granulator with 2 HP cyclone blower that grinds PET bottles and jars up to 10 litres and conveys the flakes pneumatically to bagging — 90 kg/hr of contained, continuous flake production with one operator.

From Baled Bottles to Bagged Flakes, One Operator

PET flake production lives or dies on handling. The grinding itself is straightforward — PET is thin-walled and cuts easily — but light flakes pile up under an open machine, someone has to keep clearing them, and every handling step costs labour and loses material.

The RE16CB closes that loop: the RE16 platform’s 3+2 blade set cuts bottles and jars up to 10 litres against the screen, and a 2 HP cyclone blower conveys the flakes straight into collection bags the moment they pass the mesh. One operator feeds; the machine does everything else.

At 90 kg/hr of light bottle feed — several thousand bottles an hour — it suits collection centres, washing-line operators and bottling plants destroying rejects with the output contained and saleable. One specification stated faithfully: this blower configuration produces an uneven shred size, which washing lines accept happily; if your buyer requires strictly screen-sized flake, the base RE16 produces it.

This CB configuration produces an uneven shred size — reproduced faithfully from the machine’s specification. Throughput is rated for light-weight material on a 15 mm screen; denser scrap grinds at the base-machine rates and output varies with feeding speed and bulk density. Keep metal objects out of the cutting area — they will break the blades. All specifications are subject to change for constant product development.

Key Features

Bottles and Jars to 10 Litres

Water bottles, juice jars and handled containers feed whole through the 16″ × 16″ throat.

Flakes Bagged Automatically

Cyclone-blower discharge removes the manual clearing that throttles open grinders.

Washing-Line Ready

The uneven shred this configuration produces is exactly what float-sink washing lines accept.

Re-Sharpenable 3+2 Blade Set

Hardened blades hold their edge through label and cap contamination.

1,076 kg Continuous-Duty Build

All-metal construction with overload-protected starter.

Part of a Seven-Size Range

The same configuration scales from 20 to 700 kg/hr across the blower line.

RE16CB Grinder with Blower — Frequently Asked Questions

How many bottles per hour is 90 kg?

A used 500 ml–1 litre PET bottle weighs a few tens of grams, so 90 kg/hr is several thousand bottles — the practical limit is usually operator feeding speed, not the machine. Weigh a sample sack of your typical bottles for a realistic per-hour figure.

Do caps and labels matter?

They grind along with the bottle — normal and accepted at the unwashed-flake grade. Buyers producing food-grade rPET separate polymers downstream by float-sink; if your buyer pays a premium for cap-free flake, de-capping is a sorting decision before the machine, not a machine limitation.

Why is the output listed as uneven shred?

That is the honest specification of this blower configuration: the air-assisted discharge favours throughput over perfectly screened flake, which suits washing lines fine. If your buyer requires strictly screen-sized flake, the base RE16 without blower produces it — we will recommend whichever matches your offtake.

What does a shift produce?

Roughly 700 kg of flake per steady 8-hour shift. Collection centres aggregating more than a tonne a day should look at the RE20CB or RE25CB on the same platform — capacity steps are honest, not optimistic.

What is the price of the RE16CB?

Mid-band in the blower range — see the plastic shredder machine price guide — final figure depending on screen and ducting. Send your intake volumes for a firm quotation.

Can I trial my bottles first?

Yes — bring your actual material to our works in Andheri East, Mumbai, and watch it processed on this machine before you decide. A trial settles throughput and output-size questions better than any brochure.
