RE12CB Grinder with Blower — 12″×12″ Granulator, 5 + 1 HP
The light-material specialist of the RE range: PVC film, thermocol, foam and PET bottles up to 1 litre ground against the screen and conveyed pneumatically into bags at 45 kg/hr — one operator, nothing to shovel.
Light Material Needs the Blower, Not a Bigger Motor
Film and foam are the materials that embarrass ordinary grinders. They weigh nothing, so they bridge over the rotor instead of feeding; the ground output is so fluffy it clogs the chamber instead of falling out. The answer is not more horsepower — it is airflow.
The RE12CB is the RE12 granulator with a 1 HP cyclone blower doing exactly that: the 3+2 hardened blade set cuts PVC film, thermocol (EPS), PU foam, air-bubble sheet and light packaging scrap against the screen, and the air stream continuously evacuates the chamber, conveying output through ducting into collection bags. Static-charged EPS fluff ends up in the sack instead of on every surface in the room.
The same configuration doubles as a semi-automatic PET bottle crusher: bottles from 500 ml to 1 litre feed through the 12″ × 12″ throat and leave as flake, screened and bagged. The standard build is painted MS; if your flake feeds a food-grade washing line, we also manufacture the machine in SS grade on request — mention it at enquiry and we will quote both.

Throughput is rated for light-weight material on a 15 mm screen; denser scrap grinds at the base-machine rates and output varies with feeding speed and bulk density. Keep metal objects out of the cutting area — they will break the blades. All specifications are subject to change for constant product development.

RE12CB Grinder with Blower — Frequently Asked Questions
What materials does it handle?
Soft PVC film and sheet offcuts, thermocol (EPS) packaging and blocks, PU foam, air-bubble film, light packaging scrap and PET bottles up to 1 litre. Rigid PVC pipes and fittings are a different duty — they belong on the base RE grinders with their higher torque per kilo.
Why does light material need a blower?
Because gravity stops working for you: fluffy regrind will not fall through the screen fast enough and re-cuts endlessly, killing throughput. The blower’s airflow pulls output through the moment it passes the mesh — that is why blower models are rated separately for light material.
What happens to static-charged EPS fluff?
It travels with the air stream through closed ducting and settles in the collection bag at the discharge end, instead of clinging to every surface in the room. Operators who have ground EPS on open machines notice the difference immediately.
Do PET bottles need caps and labels removed first?
No — the machine crushes bottles as fed, labels and caps included, which is accepted at the unwashed-flake grade. If you produce washed flake, caps and labels separate downstream in the float tank (caps float, PET sinks). De-capping first improves purity if you have the labour.
My bottles are bigger than 1 litre — which machine do I need?
Step up the same design: the RE16CB handles bottles and jars up to 10 litres at 90 kg/hr, and the RE20CB takes jars to 20 litres at 175 kg/hr. Bring a sample jar for a trial and see the right machine run before you decide.
What is the price of the RE12CB?
It sits in the lower-middle band of the blower range — see the plastic shredder machine price guide — with the exact figure depending on screen, ducting length and MS vs SS construction. Send your requirement for a firm quote.
Can I trial my film, foam or bottles first?
Yes — bring your actual material to our works in Andheri East, Mumbai, and watch it processed on this machine before you decide. A trial settles throughput and output-size questions better than any brochure.
