Light, fluffy scrap embarrasses open grinders at any size: the ground output will not fall through the screen fast enough, it re-cuts endlessly, and whatever does come out piles up under the machine for someone to shovel. The fix is not horsepower — it is airflow.
The RE8CB pairs the smallest RE-series granulator with a 0.5 HP cyclone blower: the hardened 3+2 blade set cuts material against a 12–15 mm screen, and the air stream lifts every piece out of the chamber the moment it passes the mesh, conveying it through closed ducting into a collection bag. Dust and fines travel with the flakes instead of settling over the workshop.
At 20 kg/hr on light material and 229 kg total weight, it is sized for workshops, small collection centres and processors adding a light-scrap line beside their rigid-scrap machines. It sits at the entry of a seven-size blower range that runs to 700 kg/hr on the RE40CB.

Throughput is rated for light-weight material on a 15 mm screen; denser scrap grinds at the base-machine rates and output varies with feeding speed and bulk density. The same RE8CB build is proven on coconut shell — ground shell sells as activated-carbon feedstock, incense and mosquito-coil filler, and polishing media. The hardened blade set cuts dried, broken shell pieces against the screen, and the blower carries the dusty grit straight into closed bags instead of coating the workshop.
Feed half-shells and broken pieces that fit the 8″ × 8″ throat (crack whole shells first — dried shell grinds better and dulls blades slower than green). At roughly 150–160 kg per shift it is sized for coir units, agri-processors and small shell traders; shell is abrasive, so plan a blade-sharpening cycle from running hours.

Why does light material need a blower at all?
Because gravity stops working for you: fluffy regrind will not fall through the screen fast enough and re-cuts endlessly, killing throughput. The blower’s airflow pulls output through the moment it passes the mesh — that is why blower models carry their own light-material ratings.
What output size does it produce?
The screen decides: 12–15 mm as standard, finer grades with a smaller mesh. Material recirculates in the chamber until it passes, so the output is consistently below screen size.
How is dust handled?
Ground material and fines travel through closed ducting into the collection bag rather than escaping at the machine. The workspace stays workable without extra extraction for typical duty.
