S3-1000 Single Shaft Shredder, 1000 x 1000 mm Chamber, 75 kW

The largest machine in the S3 line, built for high volume shredding of rigid plastic waste such as ABS, PC, PA and similar engineering plastics. A 1000 x 1000 mm cutting chamber, 42 square-type blades on a 400 mm rotor at 60 rpm, a self-regulating hydraulic pusher and a 75 kW drive deliver 600–800 kg/hr.

Built for Rigid Engineering Plastics

Rigid engineering plastics are the hardest stream in most recycling yards. ABS housings, polycarbonate parts and moulded nylon are tough, thick and often bulky, and they arrive in volumes that outrun a grinder throat. The S3-1000 is sized for exactly that load.

Material drops through an 1800 x 1600 mm feed opening into a 1000 x 1000 mm cutting chamber. A single 400 mm rotor carrying 42 square-type cutting blades turns at 60 rpm and tears the material against 2 fixed bed blades. Behind it, a hydraulic pusher presses the feed onto the rotor and regulates its own pressure, so the machine holds a steady cut under continuous loading.

Output passes an interchangeable 80 mm perforated screen, which sets the particle size. Fit a different screen and the output changes with it. For uniform regrind, the shredded pieces go on to an RE series grinder as a second stage. The heavy duty welded steel frame, with 30 mm Q235B chamber walls, is built for round-the-clock industrial operation.

Inside the S3 Series

S3 series rotor fitted with rows of square-type cutting blades

Solid Rotor

42 rotary blades, 50 x 50 x 30 mm in DC53 tool steel hardened to HRC 56–58, on a 400 mm solid rotor.

Cutting Chamber

The rotor tears material against 2 fixed bed blades inside the 1000 x 1000 mm chamber.

PLC Control Panel

Siemens PLC with Schneider contactors and relays, and a proximity switch overload interlock.

Key Features

Hydraulic Pusher Feed

A hydraulic pusher with a 1000 mm stroke and a 100 mm cylinder presses the feed onto the rotor. A 5.5 kW oil pump drives it at up to 10 MPa, and it self-regulates feed pressure under continuous loading.

Square-Type DC53 Blades

42 rotary blades, each 50 x 50 x 30 mm in DC53 tool steel hardened to HRC 56–58, working against 2 fixed bed blades.

Interchangeable 80 mm Screen

The perforated screen controls the output particle size, and it can be changed when the job changes. Material stays in the chamber until it is small enough to pass.

60 rpm Rotor, 75 kW Drive

A 75 kW / 102 HP motor for 380 V, 50 Hz, 3-phase supply, IP45 rated, turns the 400 mm rotor slowly for high cutting force.

Overload Interlock

Siemens PLC control with Schneider contactors and relays, and a proximity switch interlock that protects the machine when it is overloaded.

Heavy Welded Steel Frame

30 mm Q235B structural steel chamber walls and a 5,500 kg welded frame, built for round-the-clock industrial operation.

S3-1000 Single Shaft Shredder, Frequently Asked Questions

What can the S3-1000 shred?

It is built for rigid plastic waste such as ABS, PC, PA and similar engineering plastics, in high volume. The 1800 x 1600 mm feed opening takes large pieces, and the 1000 x 1000 mm chamber gives the rotor a wide working face. Capacity is 600–800 kg/hr. If your stream is softer or more mixed, such as bags, film, drums or crates, a dual shaft shredder may suit better, and we will tell you so.

What does the hydraulic pusher do?

It presses material onto the rotor so the blades always have something to cut. The pusher self-regulates its feed pressure, which keeps the process steady under continuous loading. On the S3-1000 it has a 1000 mm stroke and a 100 mm cylinder, powered by a 5.5 kW oil pump motor at a maximum system pressure of 10 MPa.

What output size does the S3-1000 produce?

The interchangeable 80 mm perforated screen sets the output particle size. Material stays in the chamber until it is small enough to pass, so changing the screen changes the output. For uniform regrind that goes back into moulding or extrusion, run the output through an RE series grinder as a second stage.

How does the S3-1000 compare with the S3-800?

Both share an 1800 x 1600 mm feed opening, a 400 mm rotor at 60 rpm and the same 50 x 50 x 30 mm square-type DC53 blades. The S3-1000 has the larger 1000 x 1000 mm chamber against 800 x 800 mm, 42 rotary blades against 33, a 75 kW motor against 55 kW, and 600–800 kg/hr against 400–600 kg/hr. It also comes with an 80 mm screen fitted, which is optional on the S3-800. The range comparison sets all three S3 models side by side.

What protects the machine from overloading?

The control system is a Siemens PLC with Schneider contactors and relays, and a proximity switch interlock protects the machine when it is overloaded. The hydraulic pusher self-regulates its feed pressure as well. Keep metal objects out of the feed, because no shredder blade is meant to cut them.

What power supply does the S3-1000 need?

The main drive is a 75 kW (102 HP) motor for 380 V, 50 Hz, 3-phase supply, with IP45 protection. The hydraulic pusher adds a 5.5 kW oil pump motor. Share your plant’s supply details when you enquire and our team will confirm the electrical specification with the quotation.

What is the S3-1000 single shaft shredder price in India?

Every machine is quoted to the job. What moves the number is capacity, screen and blade configuration, the control panel and any conveyors or collection you add. Our guide to what drives machine cost walks through each of those. Send us your material and daily volume and we will size the machine and quote it, usually the same day.
