S3-800 Single Shaft Shredder, 800 x 800 mm Chamber, 55 kW
High volume shredding of rigid plastic waste such as ABS, PC, PA and similar engineering plastics, in a more compact footprint than the S3-1000. An 800 x 800 mm cutting chamber, 33 square-type blades on a 400 mm rotor at 60 rpm, a self-regulating hydraulic pusher and a 55 kW drive deliver 400–600 kg/hr.
Built for Rigid Engineering Plastics
Rigid engineering plastics need a slow, forceful cut. ABS housings, polycarbonate parts and moulded nylon are too tough and too bulky for a grinder throat, and plants that generate them steadily need a machine that keeps pace without being oversized. The S3-800 is the middle of the S3 line.
Material goes in through an 1800 x 1600 mm feed opening to an 800 x 800 mm cutting chamber. A single 400 mm rotor carrying 33 square-type cutting blades turns at 60 rpm and tears the material against 2 fixed bed blades. A hydraulic pusher presses the feed onto the rotor and regulates its own pressure, so the process stays steady under continuous loading.
The S3-800 is not fitted with a screen as standard. A screen is available as an optional accessory when you need a controlled output size, and for uniform regrind the shredded pieces go on to an RE series grinder. The heavy duty welded steel frame, with 25 mm Q235B chamber walls, is built for round-the-clock industrial operation.

What can the S3-800 shred?
It is built for rigid plastic waste such as ABS, PC, PA and similar engineering plastics. The 1800 x 1600 mm feed opening takes large pieces into an 800 x 800 mm chamber, and capacity is 400–600 kg/hr. If your stream is softer or more mixed, such as bags, film, drums or crates, a dual shaft shredder may suit better, and we will tell you so.
What does the hydraulic pusher do?
It presses material onto the rotor so the blades always have something to cut. The pusher self-regulates its feed pressure, which keeps the process steady under continuous loading. On the S3-800 it has an 800 mm stroke and an 80 mm cylinder, powered by a 3 kW oil pump motor at a maximum system pressure of 10 MPa.
Does the S3-800 come with a screen?
Not as standard. Without a screen the machine does not size its output, which suits volume reduction and feeding a second stage grinder. A screen is available as an optional accessory when you need a controlled output size. The S3-1000 comes with an interchangeable 80 mm screen fitted.
How does the S3-800 compare with the S3-1000 and the S3-600?
Against the S3-1000 it shares the 1800 x 1600 mm feed opening, the 400 mm rotor at 60 rpm and the same square-type DC53 blades, with an 800 x 800 mm chamber instead of 1000 x 1000 mm, 33 blades instead of 42, 55 kW instead of 75 kW and 400–600 kg/hr instead of 600–800 kg/hr. What protects the machine from overloading?
The control system is a Siemens PLC with Schneider contactors and relays, and a proximity switch interlock protects the machine when it is overloaded. The hydraulic pusher self-regulates its feed pressure as well. Keep metal objects out of the feed, because no shredder blade is meant to cut them.
What power supply does the S3-800 need?
